"The nose and palate of the 2022 El Tamboril Tinto are really tight; it's a wine that needs more time (they reckon the 2016 is the one drinking well in 2024). It has a lot of energy and still has some creaminess and spiciness (from the élevage?). It has tons of fine tannins, giving it a powdery, dry texture. It fermented in concrete and oak, trying not to extract, fermenting with some juice without skins, a super infusion with even less extraction than the others as it has natural power. It matured in a 10,000-liter Stockinger oak foudre. 1,334 bottles and 30 magnums were filled in May 2024. This is the wine in the portfolio that needs time in bottle."
