Catherine Et Pierre Breton - Bourgueil Les Perrières 2020 (750ml)

The 2020 Les Perrieres is a remarkable wine from the Bourgueil region, crafted from nearly century-old Cabernet Franc vines planted in 1934 on the renowned Les Perrières plot, known for its siliceous clay and limestone soils. 

The wine undergoes a meticulous vinification process, including manual harvest, destemming, a three-week maceration with native yeasts, and aging in 550-liter barriques—some new—for two years in the cellar, resulting in a wine with exceptional volume, freshness, and complexity. The aromatic profile features blackberries, white-button mushrooms, and raspberries, leading to a chalky, mineral palate that shows lush primary fruit and promises to develop enchanting smoky notes with age.  

Les Perrieres is considered the Breton family’s finest offering, bottled unfined and unfiltered and a true reflection of artisanal craftsmanship and terroir.
