"The 2021 Clos De Betz checks in as 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, raised in 40% new French oak. It's a gorgeous Merlot offering a deep purple hue as well as tons of plummy, darker cherry fruits that give way to more leafy tobacco, chocolate, and lead pencil-like aromas and flavors. It has way more mid-palate depth and density than most Merlot out there, and it’s balanced, medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and a great finish. " (JD)

Medium to full-bodied, the palate is focused, finessed and pure, with energetic acidity, and it ends with a lush, fresh-fruited, mineral-laced finish. Only 9,000 bottles were made for the world."
