"A fascinating experiment in double maturation with a finish in Japanese oak. Aged for around five years in French oak before spending six months in mizunara oak barrels. The nose is unique and exotic, offering clove, saffron and cumin. On the palate there’s a strange tension between sweet and spicy, coconut and fig versus cinnamon and cedar. Interesting, but more for the novelty seeker. (40% abv)"
