Crisp and Refreshing Un-Oaked Estate Grown Chardonnay from the Heart of Green Valley of the Famed Russian River Valley

'Acero', the Spanish word for steel, refers to the fact that this wine has never seen any oak. All fermentation is done in stainless steel to capture the purity of the varietal and terroir. 100% Estate grown fruit, specially selected for intensity and aromatics. The result is crisp Chardonnay with clean flavors of green apple, lemon zest with subtle floral notes of jasmine tea and white flowers. Malolactic fermintation adds a creamy roundness to the palate, intense but smooth, balancing the bright acidity, and lifting the refreshing mineral rich finish.

The Don Miguel Vineyard: Named after the late patriarch of the Torres family, this vineyard is located in the Green Valley — the coolest, foggiest region of the Russian River, only ten miles from the Pacific. The European-style high density of over 2,000 vines per acre provides low yields and requires intensive labor; but the vines live longer and the grapes acquire better balance and greater concentration, as well as more elegance and finesse than with the traditional low density.
