Pierre Girardin - 'Eclat De Calcaire' Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2019 13th Generation "Rising Star" of Burgundy Burgundian Pinot Noir of this quality is easily mistaken for Premier Cru Village wine (Because it is!). You can tell Pierre-Vincent has Burgundy in his blood - His Pinot Noirs are incredibly well-structured, striking wines which pay homage to their roots with rich minerality and textured red fruit, followed by layers of fresh violets, strawberry, rhubarb, and a silky finish with plenty of lingering spice from precise barrel aging. These prestigious family vineyards combined with generations of Girardin winemaking equate to a modern-style wine with an eye towards Burgundian elegance, purity, precision, and cut, highlighting by the extraordinarily rare terroir Pierre is ever so graced. Simply put - Pierre is taking Burgundy to the next level. These are not to be missed.

Piaggia - 'Il Sasso' Carmignano, Tuscany 2018 Vinous 92 Points! “If there is one estate that embodies the potential of Carmignano, Piaggia just might be it.” – Antonio Galloni Rich in barrel spice, the 2018 Piaggia Carmignano is the perfect winter warmer. Piaggia located right in the heart of Carmignano-Tuscany, offers an exceptional value and a true taste of place. The wine opens up with a complex nose of spicy red fruit, mocha, and earthy leather and sweet tobacco. It's dark and dense with a hearty core and an expressive palate of red and blue fruit, balanced nicely with floral earth, barrel spice, and wild herbs. Awesome with hearty winter meals, cheese and charcuterie, or simply as a winter warming sipper.

Domaine Huet - Le Mont Sec, Vouvray 2020 Vinous 96-97/Wine Advocate 95 "The pure and intriguing nose of the 2020 Le Mont Sec is fine and focused, offering a flinty, smoky note as well as white flowers, pineapple and just-ripe pear. A taut and precise style that delivers plenty of concentration yet conveys a sense of delicacy in the mouth. It has a fine, structured, lengthy finish, an element of tension holding the palate with confident grip." 96-97 Vinous Media Undisputably a grand cru vineyard, Le Mont enjoys a choice site on the Première Côte. With less clay and more stone than Le Haut-Lieu, including a high content of green mica, Le Mont yields young wines of intense minerality and often the most linear and precise wine in the Huet lineup. With age, the wines develop great length and finesse.

Domaine Huet - Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec, Vouvray 2020 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 95 "The 2020 Vouvray Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec is concentrated, deep and still somewhat untamed on the clear, fresh and lemon-fruity yet darker-toned nose compared to the Haut-Lieu. Round and refined yet still with a pretty firm tannin structure, this is a rich and powerful yet elegant and persistently salty Chenin with tension, grip and a sustainable, highly promising finish. The 2020 Clos du Bourg pairs juiciness with finesse and purity with complexity." Gaston Huët believed this to be the greatest of all Vouvray vineyards. With the Première Côte’s poorest, shallowest, stoniest soils, Clos du Bourg wines often produces the most powerful wine in the lineup, synthesizing Le Mont’s intense minerality with Le Haut-Lieu’s generous texture.

Château Haut-Segottes - Clos Petit-Corbin, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, 2019 Ready to Drink Second Label of the Blockbuster Producer - Château Haut-Segottes "The estate’s second wine provides a supple, beguiling counterpoint to the flagship cuvée’s muscular classicism. Comprised entirely of Merlot—partly from a one-hectare plot in the dark-sand soils of Corbin, and partly from a hectare in Fortin—Clos Petit-Corbin displays the sheer elegance the variety can achieve in this appellation. Florent and Danielle employ no new wood here, and a small portion of the wine remains in tank during the élévage, thereby further emphasizing its purity and drinkability. What strikes the drinker about this wine is its sense of grace: this is not Merlot forced into some caricature of voluptuousness or gym-pumped into an awkward imitation of Cabernet; rather, it revels comfortably in its lip-smacking red-fruited prettiness." Justin Girardin - Bourgogne Blanc, Burgundy 2019 Outstanding Quality White Burgundy With 13 Generations of Winemaking Experience! The Girardin family needs no introduction, with winemaking experience dating back to 1570. Justin is now following in his famed Ungle Vincent's footsteps proudly managing 17 hectares of the family estate vineyards through Santenay to Savigny-les-Beane. We can be some seriously tough critics of white Burgundy here at Plucky, but after we tried his Bourgogne Blanc, we knew we found something special - especially for under $20! His wines are terroir driven with minimal intervention, revealing clean 'true-to-varietal' Chardonnay from the region’s top vineyard sites. Justin's wines strike the perfect balance between traditional Burgundian rusticity and a modern new-generation approach to winemaking. An expansive, complex bouquet evokes fresh pear, white peach and honey, with a hint of toasted hazelnuts in the background. Dry and stony on the palate, offering intense citrus and orchard fruit flavors with a touch of brioche. Closes with clean finty minerals, lively acidity, and very good persistence.

Gagnard-Delagrange - Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot 2019 Decanter 96 - (Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard, Chassagne-Montrachet, 1er Cru Caillerets, Burgundy, France, White) Is Caillerets the best white premier cru in Chassagne? It would certainly be in with a shout. Château Canon - Bordeaux 2005 Wine Advocate: 95 Points - Tasted at the Château Canon vertical, the 2005 Canon is evolving into a quite gorgeous Saint Emilion. One can still discern those brown spices infiltrating the ripe red and black fruit. There is fine mineralité here, great focus, perhaps just a hint of dried blood that develops with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe tannin. It is a very complex Saint Emilion with immense purity and style, a wine that you have to keep coming back to in order to understand. It's at that pivotal stage between primary and secondary notes, the red and black fruit being overtaken by cedar, morels and a touch of game. It gently lifts and fans out to a quite captivating finish. Dare I say that the 2005 Canon is the pick of the three over 2009 and 2010? There...I've said it...it is a quite brilliant wine. Neal Martin 2017

Brancaia - Toscana Il Blu, 2013 Wine Advocate: 94 Points - The 2013 Il Blu is truly an exceptional wine. This blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon pours from the bottle with midnight black intensity. The wine is luscious and loud in terms of its aromatic intensity but the effect is beautifully balanced all the while. The wine is streamlined and tight in the mouth but don't underestimate its length and persistence. The finish can be counted in many long heartbeats
