Chateau Lilian Ladouys - Saint-Estephe, Bordeaux 2014 WE93/JS93 Wine Enthusiast 93 Points - "Under the ownership of Jacky Lorenzetti, president of one of France's top rugby clubs, this estate is now performing impressively. The wine is finely structured with dark tannins and tight acidity and a hint of minerality. It is Merlot dominated, although it is the 40% Cabernet Sauvignon that brings out the black-currant fruitiness. Drink from 2022." Newsletter Special - $27.99
James Suckling 93 Points - "Love the black-truffle and dark-berry aromas here that follow through to a firm, full-bodied palate with polished and chewy tannins. Juicy and real. Better in two or three years, but already very pretty."
Fantastic wine like this is always a test of patience, thankfully the Chateau has cellared the wine for us! Now's the time to jump on this fantastic opportunity to experience Bordeaux in its proper drinking window. The 2014 Ladouys is a full-bodied, rich red from one of the regions top Chateaus. As of February of this year, Chateau Lilian Ladouys has been honored with the highest level of Bordeaux Cru Bourgeois classification with a "Cru Bourgeois Exceptional". This new status highlights all of the hard work and efforts undertaken by the Lorenzetti Family and their teams since 2008, from replanting and extending the vineyards to implementing environmentally friendly practices and modernizing its production facilities.
Vines are planted on over 80 hectares of the Cos plateau, along the axis that links Calon Ségur to Lilian Ladouys. They flourish on these soils - gravel topsoil overlaying clay and limestone - this is the appellation's true geological treasure. An outstanding value for only $27.99.

Walter Hansel - Chardonnay, North Slope Vineyard Russian River Valley, Sonoma County 2019 Vinous Media - 94 Points! "The 2019 Chardonnay The North Slope Vineyard is one of the most overtly, powerful wines in this range. A wine of real phenolic intensity, the North Slope is a structured, savory Chardonnay that is going to need a few years to come around. It is incredibly distinctive. Crushed rocks, tangy herbs and lemon confit all grace a Chardonnay that balances power with transparency."
