"Notes of lilac and dark cherries introduce the 2023 Cotes du Rhone la Bouveau from Domaine Saint Damien, a supple, delicately juicy wine with an enveloping palate and a lively, tensile core of fruit. Medium-bodied and graceful, it concludes with a long, ethereal finish. A blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Cinsault that matured for six months in concrete tanks, it combines charm and gourmandise in equal measure."

"Named after the lieu-dit not far from the cellar, the 2023 Côtes Du Rhône La Bouveau is 80% Syrah and 10% each Grenache and Cinsault brought up all in concrete. Red and black fruits, peppery garigue, violets, and some gamey nuances all shine here, and it's medium to full-bodied, with notable purity and fine tannins."
