(Domaine Louis Boillot et Fils Gevrey-Chambertin "Les Cherbaudes" 1er Cru Red) Bright, airy and ultra-fresh aromas of the essence of red pinot fruit are complexified with the additions of ample amounts of both spice and earth elements. The caressing, delicious and sappy medium weight flavors possess a seductive mouthfeel while delivering solid length on the mildly warm finale that, once again, are in need of more depth. (Drink starting 2031)  89-92 points

(Domaine Louis Boillot et Fils Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cherbaudes 1er Cru Red) The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cherbaudes 1er Cru has a very floral bouquet with wilted rose petals and hints of peony that tincture the red fruit notes. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. There's a subtle piquancy here, with candied orange peel and white pepper notes interlacing the finish. This is a delightful Gevrey. (Drink between 2027-2040)  (91-93) points

(Gevrey-Chambertin Cherbaudes 1er Cru, Domaine Louis Boillot, Red) An even mid purple. There is a greater depth of fruit and it is very classy, strawberry as much as raspberry, filling the middle of the palate, covering the tannins, with adequate acidity and decent persistence. Still made with the ancient Cherbaudes vines though half were pulled out after the 2024 harvest.  92-94 points
