Chateau Turcaud - Bordeaux Blanc, Entre-Deux-Mers 2020 The 2020 Chateau Turcaud is a classic Bordeaux Blanc blend of 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 45% sémillon, and 5% muscadelle. This white Bordeaux presents intense aeromatics of crisp citrus fruits, exotic tropical fruits like mango and lychee, and has beautiful floral notes to compliment. The aromatic complexity on the nose follows through on the palate with fresh and lively citrus-like acidity and a clean mineral backbone. The 2020 Chateau Turcaud is an exquisite wine with layers of complexity, an absolute classic wine you wouldn't expect at a price point under $15. Special Newsletter Price - $12.99 Château Turcaud is located in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers, between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, 35 kilometres east of the city of Bordeaux and 20 kilometres south of Saint Emilion, next to La Sauve Majeure Abbey, a UNESCO world heritage site. The vineyard is set on gentle slopes, at approximately 100 meters' altitude, on silt soils that frequently contain gravel and sometimes clay. The grapes are then fermented on thier skins for over two hours to bring an aeromatic lift to the wine, then complete fermentation in stainless steel to give the wine a crisp and clean flavor profile. We love this wine as an everyday white, yet it holds the capacity to elevate any meal.
